Volunteers are the backbone of grassroots football. Without the time, dedication and commitment from all volunteers in West Riding - the game would simply not exist. Football is more than just players on the pitch.

Are you a young person that wants to get involved in leadership and volunteering within your football club, school or local community?

Football Futures

With a purpose of giving young people the chance to develop their skills in order to create a long-lasting legacy and develop football within their communities, the Football Futures programme is a fantastic opportunity for young people to gain real world experiences. Volunteers on the programme are rewarded for the work they put in, with successful candidates being recognised across the FA and selected for further development opportunities.

"The Football Futures programme is for anyone who wishes to use football as a vehicle for personal development. Personally, I have the programme to thank for my current job in football and I fully encourage anyone involved in the game to get involved."

- Lindsey Whitton, West Riding County FA
