Urgent Coach Education Update

We are aware of a series of issues relating to candidates currently booking on courses, accessing online learning and receiving certificates relating to the Level 1 in Coaching Football, Level 2 in Coaching Football, Safeguarding Children & Emergency First Aid. We are liaising closely with FA Education to minimise any disruption and rectify this at the earliest opportunity. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this and will be communicating the outcomes of these as soon as possible.

To support you during this time, please see below details surrounding how to work around some of the issues:

  • For learners that can’t find their FA Level 1 course please advise them to access their online learning through the following path: Find Awards – Awards – Coaching Pathway (View List of Available Awards) – Level 1 in Coaching Football (View Award).
  • For learners that can’t access the Online Safeguarding Children Recertification course please advise them (as long as they have completed an FA Safeguarding Children Workshop over two years ago and this is on their FAN) to access it via this link: https://learning.thefa.com/course/view.php?id=148.Kineo have developed a fix for this issue which is currently being tested. It is hoped this will be applied in the next couple of days.
  • For learners trying to book a course but cannot select the course please ensure you are using the preferred systems – A Windows computer and Google Chrome as this will ensure optimum performance. When you are on the booking screen but cannot see how to select the course, you should click Tab on your keyboard. You will now see a small circle available for you to select.

Certificates

We have been made aware that anyone whom has been certified with the Level 1 in Coaching Football, Level 2 in Coaching Football, Safeguarding Children and Emergency First Aid after 19th June 2017 will currently not receive their certificate until further notice. This relates to both the physical copy and online copy from LMS. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this and will be seeking to communicate with those affected directly to advise of this and to confirm, once this has been rectified.

LMS

The LMS system has recently undergone a maintenance period to ensure the system performs at its optimum capacity. We are aware there have been some issues (documented above) that have arisen. As above, we are liaising with FA Education to ensure we work together to rectify this as soon as possible. In the interim we have also been given access to two guides showing how to purchase a course & accessing your online learning.
