Brain Peel & Dave Alexander Award the 50 Years Service to Football Award

Brian Peel and David Alexander, both well known in local football circles, received The Football Association's award for 50 years’ service to football at Leeds DFA AGM. The awards were presented by West Riding County FA Chairman and FA Representative, Barry Chaplin.

 

Brain's record of service is:

Brian  involvement in football started in  1967 with the OLD Centralians AFC  -Old Boys League (YAL) open age.

    Brian held thefollowing positions with the Club, committee member, Treasurer, Chairman, Vice President.

 

    1996 Awarded the postion of President of the Old Boys League (YAL)

    2002 Chairmn of the Old Boys League

    2003 Secretary of the Old Boys League

    2006 Player Registration Secretary of the Old Boys League

    2007 League Secretary, Life member, and Vice President, of the Old Boys League

 

    2008 retired as an officer of the League and became a member of the newly formed management (SCOR)

    2012 Vice Chairman of the OLD Boys Shield Cup

    2014 -2017 Chairman of the OLD Boys Shield  Cup

 

    Brain Peel received the 25 year a long service award from the Leeds FA for service to local football

    Brian Peel is to continue his service into 2017/18 season as a Life member of the Old Boys League (YAL) 

 

The Leeds FA considers Brian a worthy recipient for the FA 50 years service award.

 

 

David’s record of service is:

 

    Mr David Alexander has served local football as a junior player and as an open age player, and served

    in League administration. After completing junior football with the Leeds Junior Minor League David

    played open age football from 1968 age 16yrs to 1983.

    Becoming a Sunday League Council member in 1974

    David became a Leeds Sunday League delegate to the Leeds FA in 1979 and attained life

    membership in 1999, and David is still a serving member as of 2016/17 season.

 

    Giving to-date 42 yrs in administration, and an open age playing career of 15years.
