We are delighted to welcome Pete Sturgess back to West Riding in May to DELIVER an England DNA Foundation Phase cpd event

West Riding FA will be hosting a fantastic England DNA Foundation Phase Roadshow event in 2019. In partnership with Bradford City's academy, this is a night not to be missed.

The England DNA Foundation Phase DNA is an exciting resource for grassroots coaches, jam-packed full of ideas, sessions, articles and videos based around the FA Four Corner Model for long-term player development.

There are age-specific sections which will be a real benefit to all coaches, but especially those entrusted with the football development of our youngest players.

The evening will consist of a presentation outlining the key messages from the DNA followed by a practical session to demonstrate how this works in coaching scenarios.

We strongly encourage coaches to join the FA Hive Learning platform, which is proving to be a valuable learning tool where coaches can learn more around the England DNA, alongside a number of coaching demonstrations and tips for them to use within their grassroots clubs.

A huge thank you to Bradford City’s academy staff, particularly Head Foundation Phase Coach, Conor Sellars, for agreeing to host the event and provide players from their Foundation Phase for the practical part of the night.e

It’s such a privilege to watch Pete work and I’m sure everyone will leave the event with great ideas to help support the development of their young players. The attendance bar has been set at 149 by other County FAs across the country so the challenge for our coaches is to come out in your droves to make this the best attended with over 150!"
