FA Disability Talent Hub Launches

This weekend saw the launch of our FA Disability Talent Hub at Middleton Leisure Centre.

We had 11 players attending the first session which was a great turnout; we look forward to seeing participation numbers growing over the coming months.

The FA Disability Talent Hub provides disabled young footballers in the area an opportunity to progress from their grassroots club to a designated development centre on the England Talent Pathway.

Colan Leung, Disability Football Development Officer, said: “I’m really happy with how the first session went and how smooth it ran.

The coaching staff were great and made all the players and parents feel welcome from the start.

Most importantly, the players seemed to enjoy themselves and really embraced what the coaches had to say throughout the session.

We received some great feedback from the parents on how professional and fun the session was so we look forward to the remaining 12 sessions.

I’m really confident that the sessions will get even better and the players will really develop under the coaches we have for the FA Disability Talent Hub."

The Talent Hub provides opportunities for players with Cerebral Palsy (male), Deaf (male and female) and Partially Sighted (male) and separates into two age categories 7-11 and 12-16.
