Female Coach Development Group

To further support female coaches in our county we have our Female Coach Development Group meeting quarterly throughout the season to support and share best practice.  Any female, non-qualified or qualified to the highest level, can join the group to either look for support and guidance or to offer their knowledge and share their experiences with the rest of the group.

The next meeting will be our best yet with FA County Coach Developer for Derbyshire Sally Needham delivering. Over the past 2 years Sally has taken child development, social attachment and the latest neuroscience and applied it into the context of football resulting in her work being used on courses, CPD events and within the grassroots and professional game.  Sally will give an insight into the human brain and the nervous system to help unpick some of the challenging behaviors that as coaches you may deal with in training and on matchdays. Then provide you with strategies to help support these challenging behaviours and the psychological and social aspects of the game

The event takes place on Thursday 27th February at West Riding FA HQ (6-9pm).
