West Riding FA U23 Development Leagues

West Riding FA has confirmed the opening nights for its centralised divisions in both Bradford and Featherstone.

West Riding FA has officially announced the starting dates for its U23 Development League competitions for 2023.

The U23 Development Leagues have proven to be very popular and their origins go back several years. The primary goal is to support the growth of players across the county as they transition from youth competitions to open age football tournaments. As part of this, there is a continuous desire to allow for a safe and suitable environment where players can express themselves, enhance their skills, and gain the greatest possible enjoyment from the beautiful game.

Now, West Riding FA has confirmed the opening nights for its centralised divisions in both Bradford and Featherstone.

For the Bradford Division, the games will begin on Monday 6 February 2023 and will take place every Monday evening at Wyke Community Sports Village, Wyke, Bradford BD12 9HA. That same evening, the Featherstone Division will get underway, with games taking place at St Wilfrid's High School, Cutsyke Road, Featherstone, Pontefract WF7 6BD.

Matches will last 35 minutes per half, and teams will pay £50 per fixture as part of the Whole Game System. There is an additional charge of £15 per team to cover the match official's attendance. To participate, teams must pay a £50 deposit prior to the start date of 6 February, and teams will lose their deposit if they fail to attend a match.

There is growing excitement about the competitions as we edge closer to the opening nights, and footballers across the region are encouraged to participate. You can register your interest by clicking here.
