CPD Events

CPD events are for anyone involved in football who is looking to improve their skills and knowledge of the game. All our events are available at no cost and coaches with or without qualifications are welcome to join us.

 

Whether you are an aspiring coach or a seasoned Sunday league manager, these events will help you get more out of your players and ultimately improve everyone’s enjoyment of the game.

Creating Games                       

Creating Games for your players, learn a range of games that can be changed to suit the age group that you work with.

Defib and CPR Training           

An opportunity for coaches to understand the importance of Defibs and how they can be used in emergency situations

Harrogate Town Training Day

Watch how professional footballers work through a pre-season session followed by a Q+A with the Harrogate Town Manager and his staff

Nutrition                                     

The 2-hour session will be interactive and will include lots of insights and practical tips around fuelling your players. Some of the content will include:Factors that need to be considered with junior and youth athletes, How players can better understand their hydration needs, Nutrition before and after a game

Leeds United Academy           

Watch how academy footballers work through a season session followed by a Q+A with a representative of the club

Goalkeeping                             

The fundamentals of goalkeeping and how to include GK’s in your sessions.

Pitchside behaviour                 

How to deal with problems around pitchside behaviour, including the behaviour expected of a coach

FA CPD Day                                 

A full day with several sessions that can be adapted to all levels and formats of football. There will  be a range of sessions aimed at different levels of coaches.

Coach Mentor Programme

Clubs and their coaches told us that they would benefit from an experienced coach to offer tailored mentoring and coaching experienced in-house. This programme does exactly that.

Clubs self-asses their own coaching/mentoring needs and we (West Riding FA) provide an experienced, qualified Coach Mentor to design and deliver a bespoke intervention to address the need.

Club Mentor Programme

West Riding FA have created an opportunity for Clubs to have specific CPD Events for the Coaches within their clubs. A club can offer a two hour session to coaches within their club at your own venue.

A qualified experienced coach will deliver the session to your club using one of your teams. 8 Sessions will be shown over the two hour session and these sessions can be adapted across the club. The cost of the event is £100.00.
