Continous Professional Development (CPD)

    •
West Riding County FA offers a comprehensive programme of CPD events. These sessions are offered free of charge (unless stated) to anyone who is currently involved in football in the county. There are no pre-requisites to attend and coaches can attend as many events as they like.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is part of being an FA Licensed Coach. It shows coaches are striving to be the best coach they can be, and that they are trying to constantly improve their skills.

It means committing to a given number of hours of training per year, depending on the level of coaching qualification held.

Our programme has been designed to assist and support clubs within our county to offer quality coaching, raise standards and reward quality.

CPD events are for anyone involved in football who is looking to improve their skills and knowledge of the game. Whether you are an aspiring coach or a seasoned Sunday league manager, these events will help you get more out of your players and ultimately improve everyone's enjoyment of the game.

You can attend events in person or complete CPD hours online. To access the online CPD modules, please click here.

Missed an event? We also have presentations and session plans from previous CPD events on our Online Library. Just look in the Course Material / Presentations tab to view and download your own copies.

Level 3, 4 and 5 coaches can access CPD via FA Education's national programme. All events, including booking links, can be found here: https://eventspace.thefa.com/FALearning/participant/s.aspx?eventlen=65
