Female Level 1 Coaching Football Courses
WEST RIDING FA FEMALE Coaching COURSES
We are delighted to release details of our upcoming Female Level 1 in Coaching Football Courses.
We have one course taking place in June at our HQ (West Riding FA, Fleet Lane, Woodlesford, LS26 8NX) and one due to take place across March and April (Venue TBC).
The decision for female courses has been made on the back of last years success which saw 3 courses ran with a total of 65 candidates on the courses. Learners also gave us the feedback that they felt more comfortable being around other female candidates on the course.

Steve Conboy, West Riding FA Women & Girls Football Development Officer, said "Following the demand for female only level 1 courses in 2019, which saw three courses delivered, we are delighted to offer more of the same in 2020.
Already scheduled and available to book we have a female only level 1 starting on the 8th June 2020 at West Riding County FA with a second course in the planning stages at present."
Female Coach Development Group
To further support female coaches in our county we have our Female Coach Development Group meeting quarterly throughout the season to support and share best practice. Any female, non-qualified or qualified to the highest level, can join the group to either look for support and guidance or to offer their knowledge and share their experiences with the rest of the group.
The next meeting will be our best yet with FA County Coach Developer for Derbyshire Sally Needham delivering. Over the past 2 years Sally has taken child development, social attachment and the latest neuroscience and applied it into the context of football resulting in her work being used on courses, CPD events and within the grassroots and professional game. Sally will give an insight into the human brain and the nervous system to help unpick some of the challenging behaviors that as coaches you may deal with in training and on matchdays. Then provide you with strategies to help support these challenging behaviours and the psychological and social aspects of the game
The event takes place on Thursday 27th February at West Riding FA HQ (6-9pm).
