Referee CPD For U18s - Mental Toughness for Referees

CPD Event targeted at referees under the age of 18. For all levels of experience whether you are fresh off the course or been refereeing for a few years.

We are fortunate to have guest speaker, Dane McCarrick who will be delivering a session on Mental Toughness for Referees.

Dane is a current Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society and has previously examined 'The Impact of Personality Characteristics on Officiating Excellence in Elite, Semi-Elite and Grassroots Football Referees', and furthermore exploring 'The Associations Between Physical Height and Behavioural Measures of Dominance' in elite referees.

Referee Observer Course

 Monday 17th February: 6.30pm - 9.00pm

Wednesday 19th February: 7.00pm - 9.30pm

*Both dates MUST be attended.

Venue: West Riding County FA, Fleet Lane, Woodlesford, LS26 8NX.

The course will consist of training and observation of a match on Monday 17th February, followed by a review meeting on Wednesday 19th February.

To be considered for the course, you must possess the following:

- Level 5 Referee for a minimum of 2 seasons.
- Valid and in date FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
- Valid and in date FA DBS Certificate

The course is free of charge, however you will be expected to offer services to West Riding FA and all District FA's in West Riding to support the promotion programme each season.

You may choose to progress on the Observer Pathway following the course.

Please note the course is limited to 30 spaces so if you wish to attend, please book onto the course asap to avoid disappointment.
