West Riding FA are seeking to recruit a number of new independent members to sit as part of our Disciplinary Panel. The main role of the Panel is to consider misconduct charges that have been raised by the County FA.

Do you have an interest (or background) in Law which you can translate to the world of football? Or do you simply have an enthusiasm for justice and fairness? We are looking for a diverse group of individuals across the County, from a variety of backgrounds. The aim is for our Discipline Panels to be fully reflective of the local community, engaging individuals from Clubs, District FA’s, other competitions, referees  and other suitable individuals from outside of football.

The appointments will be on a voluntary basis, although reasonable expenses may be paid, in line with the West Riding County FA expenses policy. In all circumstances, full training and mentoring will be provided.

Personal & Non-Personal Hearings can take place during the day or on an evening. (Non-personal hearings may take around one hour, while personal hearings can last around three hours on average, dependant on the case).

Hearings can either be facilitated virtually (online) or face-to-face (at WRCFA HQ – Fleet Lane). For hearings which take place virtually, there is the ability to attend these from your home, office or any other convenient location. Again, full training on this will be provided.

If you are interested or know of anyone who you feel would be suitable to apply for the panel, please ask them to complete the application form below.

If you would like to discuss the role further, please do not hesitate to contact Jack Mason on 0113 282 1222. Conversations will be informal and kept confidential.
