West Riding FA, alongside the Football Foundation and their funding partners; The FA, Premier League and Government (via Sport England), are committed to funding the development of new and refurbished grassroots sports facilities, improving the quality and experience of playing sport at the grassroots level to sustain and increase participation and improve general skill levels.

Funding For Goalposts

The Football Foundation provides grants for the purchase of new or replacement pairs of goalposts for use within community grassroots football. These can be 11v11, 9v9, Mini-Soccer and Futsal goals. The maximum grant you can apply for will depend on the size of goalposts you are purchasing.

Portable floodlights can be a cost-effective way for you to use your facilities during the hours of darkness. The Football Foundation will accept applications for both new and previously owned portable floodlights for use on artificial or natural turf training areas.

Fencing not only does the important job of keeping your facility safe and secure but it’s also essential for keeping your pitch in the best condition possible for play. The Football Foundation provide a range of different fencing options that vary to fit the circumstances of the applicant.

Stadium Fund

The Premier League Stadium Fund, funded by the Premier League, awards grants to clubs in the EFL, National League System (Step 1-6), and Women’s Pyramid (Tier 1-4). Grants are designed to help clubs become more financially sustainable, satisfy their ground-grading requirements and create a better matchday experience for players, officials and supporters.

Premier League Defibrillator Fund

Funded by the Premier League, free Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and/or External Storage Cabinets available for grassroots, National League System (Step 5-6) and Women’s Pyramid (Tier 3-4) clubs. Aimed at helping save the life of someone experiencing a sudden cardiac arrest.

funding for refurbishments to changing rooms/clubhouses/pavilions

The Football Foundation will consider grant applications for minor building works that enhance facilities, address health and safety issues, improve the financial health of your organisation and maintain or increase participation in football. These usually include projects such as refurbishment or modernisation of changing rooms, toilets and clubhouses.
